NIC Forum
Readers from all over the world join in discussions of previous surveys. Both (grand)masters and club players shed their light on new opening developments and search together for the truth.

Sosonko's Corner
Every chess primer will tell you that in chess bishop and knight are of approximately equal value. Yet not everybody is willing to part with their bishops voluntarily. Genna Sosonko presents some examples that prove conceding your fianchettoed bishop can nevertheless pay off. Play without prejudice!

Book Review
More prejudice in Glenn Flear's review of the new monograph on the Classical Variation of the Dutch Defence. Simon Williams tries to dismiss the thesis that the Dutch Defence 'must be good for White', and Flear concurs.
All 320 pages of Janjgava's new book on the Fianchetto Lines against Grünfeld and King's Indian are so packed with information that it is difficult to extract the information you want to obtain. A high-quality reference work but not exactly recommended as nighttime reading.
