Security

The New in Chess online shop uses SSL (Secure Socket Layers) to protect the data you provide. All your ordering information (your name, address, credit card number etc.) will be encrypted during transit, which makes it nearly impossible to read, even if it is intercepted. This makes your credit card and billing information secure on its way to us. Most browsers support SSL. If you are in doubt whether your browser does, please check with your internet provider.

Accounts

The password protected login provides additional security by preventing others to place an order under your name. The procedure also facilitates your own future orders.
If you are a new customer, please create your own login, using your e-mail address and a password of your own choosing.
Check the option 'Remember my login and password', if you do not wish to have to enter your email address and password each time you log in. Your browser will then save them in a so-called 'cookie' (a small pieces of information stored on your hard disk). Make sure that cookies are enabled in your browser. This is generally the default setting; If you have not explicitly disabled cookies, you should be okay.

If you unfortunally lost your password you can click on 'Lost your password ?' at the 'Sign In' page. After submitting your email address a new password will be send to your email address.

You can always change your email address and/or password at the My Account section.

Order status

As a registered customer you can check the status of an order at any time after logging in. You can also check the contents, prices and total sum of your order.
The following list explains the various status messages.

Status	Explanation
New	Your order is received, but has yet to be processed.
Being processed	Your order is being processed and should soon be shipped.
Awaiting payment	Your order is on hold until we have received your payment.
Back order	The title you have ordered is temporarily out of stock. We are awaiting delivery from our suppliers.
Shipped	Your order has been shipped.
Cancelled	Your order has been cancelled.

Currency

Customers in ALL countries are are invoiced and charged in Euro €, except:
